One of the experiences of the early pandemic that stands out was a sense of expansiveness that came in those first few months. It was Spring when the pandemic started, and at least where I lived, the outdoors was excptionally beautiful despite the dark news of the day.
For a couple of months most people stayed home, and I would spend time each day with my wife and daughter walking outside and enjoying the weather.
Everyone was “social distancing” so the few people we encountered would give us a wide berth. No one spoke to each other, but I noticed that people smiled more when we would pass them on the street.
That feeling of expansion and of having almost endless amounts of time and space was something that brought a great deal of joy in the midst of an otherwise dark time.
“Airwalker” captures that feeling and serves as an interlude between darker periods of the pandemic.
